In “Small vs. Big – The Unbelievable Duel” (Das Erste), celebrities face their young challengers. As a gunslinger, Idris Elba is looking for the “dark tower” (VOX). In “Ostfriesenmoor” (ZDF) a murder and a kidnapping keep the investigators in suspense.

8:15 p.m., the first, small versus large – the incredible duel, show

An extremely good memory and lots of sporting talent are required for the unbelievable duels, to which moderator Kai Pflaume has once again invited “little” child talents with amazing abilities to his show, who challenge their prominent “big” duel partners to exciting competitions. Little Greta aims high when she challenges Reinhold Messner, who was the first person in the world to climb all 14 eight-thousanders. The eleven-year-old girl is certain that she can recognize more mountains from photos than the mountaineering legend from South Tyrol.

8:15 p.m., VOX, The Dark Tower, Fantasy Horror

Roland Deschain (Idris Elba) can shoot his Colt like no other. As the last of his kind, he finds himself in an eternal battle with Walter O’Dim (Matthew McConaughey), the man in black. Roland does everything so that he doesn’t destroy the Dark Tower that holds the whole cosmos together. The fate of all worlds hangs in the balance as good and evil collide in all-out battle. Can the Gunslinger really protect the Dark Tower from O’Dim?

8:15 p.m., ZDF, Ostfriesenmoor, thriller

Frank Weller (Christian Erdmann) misses the right moment for his marriage proposal. Because he and his girlfriend, Commissioner Ann Kathrin Klaasen (Picco von Groote), are drawn deep into a particularly grisly case. The body of a young woman has appeared in the Uplengener Moor. Ann Kathrin Klaasen wonders why the perpetrator made so little effort to sink the victim properly. It almost seems like it should be found.

8:15 p.m., ProSieben, Schlag den Star, game show

In this issue, moderator Johannes B. Kerner and actor Moritz Bleibtreu compete in up to 15 rounds in a direct duel. Who shows fighting spirit and fitness? Who shows brains and skill? The winner can look forward to a prize money of 100,000 euros. Elton leads through the evening, Ron Ringguth comments.

8:15 p.m., Sat.1, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Fantasy

Great challenges lie ahead for Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), not only at the Quidditch World Cup but also at the Triwizard Tournament. There, students from three different magic schools cross swords to see who is the best magic student. Meanwhile, Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) terrifies the wizarding community: During the Quidditch World Cup, the Dark Mark appears in the sky – a clear sign that Voldemort is reaching for power.
