In the “Barcelona crime thriller” (Das Erste), two nuns are murdered. In “The Mountain Rescuers: Out of Fear” (ZDF), a family dispute leads to a terrible accident. In addition, for two celebrities it’s “embarrass or cash in” (RTL).

8:15 p.m., The First, The Barcelona Crime: Hush, Crime

A court case against the 82-year-old gynecologist Dr. Sánchez (Bernd Birkhahn) attracts attention Barcelona. The former head of the clinic is accused of having taken away their newborns from mothers during the Franco dictatorship in order to hand them over to adoptive families loyal to the regime. When two nuns who were working as nurses with Sánchez in the maternity ward were murdered, Inspector Fina Valent (Anne Schäfer) and her partner Xavi Bonet (Clemens Schick) suspected a connection. Dedicated journalist Lucía Blanxart (Bibiana Beglau) reveals allegations against doctors, adoptive parents and the church, and shows how the cover-up system of silence is still active.

8:15 p.m., ZDF, Die Bergretter: Out of Fear, home series

Robert Eichner (Simon Böer) disappeared years ago, apparently for no reason. But his son Jonas (Julius Gause) knows the real reason and wants to prevent Robert from becoming part of the family again. In a mountain parking lot he wants to confront his father and make it clear that he should stay away from his mother and him. The conversation goes differently than expected and an unfortunate accident occurs: Robert falls down a slope. Fearing the consequences, Jonas tries to cover up the crime because he assumes his father died in the fall.

8:15 p.m., RTL, embarrass or cash in, show

Who is embarrassing themselves? Who collects? The half-hour show is led by none other than the charismatic TV entertainer Elton, who of course also slips into his legendary red jacket for RTL. Two celebrities compete against each other in a quiz duel. In the final round, a guest from the audience quizzes the previously victorious celebrity. Each correct answer brings him or her one step closer to the coveted prize of 10,000 euros.

8:15 p.m., VOX, The Last Witch Hunter, fantasy horror

Kaulder (Vin Diesel), an immortal fighter and the last witch hunter of the present day, must save New York from destruction. In the fight against a group of evil witches and wizards who are under the control of a powerful witch queen, he joins forces – not entirely voluntarily – with the magical dream walker Chloe (Rose Leslie) and a reserved priest (Elijah Wood). Together they fight the growing army of the evil witch in order to finally defeat her.

8:15 p.m., 3Sat, Murder in the Family – The Rubik’s Cube, crime thriller

On New Year’s Day, Thomas Becker (Matthias Koeberlin), the son of the influential building contractor Henry Becker (Heiner Lauterbach), is shot dead in his car in a parking lot. Inspector Barbara Falck (Sabine Winterfeldt) and her colleague Christian Krämer (Wolf Danny Homann) initially suspect a connection with the collapse of the “living cube”. This is an ambitious construction project by “Becker & Sohn” under the direction of Thomas’ half-brother Eric (Lucas Gregorowicz). A young cleaner was killed in the collapse.
