While jogging in the morning, Sonja Schwarz (Chiara Schoras) finds the dead body of a woman in an irrigation canal: It is Therese Pfister (Hanna Binder), who belongs to a fruit-growing dynasty. It seemed impossible from the start that she could have drowned in the shallow water of a Waal, as the natural canals used by the fruit growers are called. The “Waaler” Urban Mazur (Saro Emirze) is the first suspect because he discovered the dead woman in front of the commissioner and ran away.

Osteoporosis? Blacksmith Lorenz Kofler (Johann Schuler) finds it difficult to get over Martin Gruber’s (Hans Sigl) diagnosis. Friar even believes that the self-confident giant can save his underclass club St. Helens from imminent relegation.
