“Die Kanzlei” (Das Erste) is targeted by the Russian mafia. On ZDF, star chef Nelson Müller reveals which foods contain more sugar than necessary. Private detective “Dengler” (3Sat) is looking for a missing lobbyist in Greece.

8:15 p.m., The First, The Law Firm: Hot Freight, Lawyer Series

The law firm helps a fired accountant who is accused by prosecutors of setting fire to a warehouse owned by his former employer. Shortly before the fire, the accountant discovered irregularities in the Hamburg company’s balance sheets and accused his boss of money laundering. Through their investigations, Gellert (Herbert Knaup) and Isa von Brede (Sabine Postel) soon find themselves in the sights of the Russian mafia.

8:15 p.m., ZDF, Nelson Müller: The sugar compass, documentary

Our body needs sugar, we couldn’t live without it. However, we eat too much of it, because sugar is in almost all foods. It is an extremely lucrative ingredient for industry because it is cheap. This has far-reaching consequences. Nelson Müller travels to the city of chocolate, to Brussels. He wants to show what sugar does in food and why we love it so much.

Joko and Klaas challenge an entire station together. The aim is to stand up to the entire ProSieben universe – everyone is invited to the showdown. ProSieben alone decides on opponents and games. If Joko and Klaas triumph, the broadcaster gives them a 15-minute live slot to freely design. If their employer wins, they must place themselves unconditionally in his service.

A man climbs onto the windowsill of a New York hotel and threatens to jump off it. Police Detective Dougherty tries to defuse the situation on site, but the surprisingly composed man calls for the police psychologist Lydia Mercer (Elizabeth Banks). She is amazed when she sees who is standing on the window sill. It is ex-cop Nick Cassidy (Sam Worthington), who went to jail a few years ago for a diamond robbery, has since escaped and checked in as a hotel guest under a false name.

Dengler (Ronald Zehrfeld) is helped by Dr. Larson (Thekla Reuten), who advises water companies worldwide, is tasked with finding the Greek lobbyist Kolidis, who has disappeared since his sailboat exploded off Athens. dr Larson believes it may have been an assassination attempt. When Dengler arrives in Athens with Olga (Birgit Minichmayr), whom he has promised a short vacation in Greece, it becomes clear that the entire family must have fallen victim to the attack.
