In “The Miracle of Cape Town” (The First), a young doctor wants to take part in the first human heart transplant. In “Schlag den Star” (ProSieben) DJ Bobo and Joachim Llambi compete against each other.

8:15 p.m., The First, The Miracle of Cape Town, Drama

The young doctor Lisa Scheel (Sonja Gerhardt) would like to venture into a male domain as a surgeon. Not only does she want to choose her place in society herself, she also wants to fight for the professional recognition of her father, who wants nothing to do with his illegitimate daughter. It is the famous heart surgeon Prof. Dr. Kohlfeld (Fritz Karl), with whom she aspires to work as an assistant. When her plan unfairly fails, Lisa makes a brave decision: she travels to see Dr. Christiaan Barnard (Alexander Scheer) to Cape Town to enable him to use knowledge from Kohlfeld’s research to perform the first human heart transplant.

Not only does the host slip into different roles, but also Axel Prahl, Ella Endlich, Martin Klempnow, Tahnee, René Marik and many more become part of the famous Grimm stories. And in the fairytale music quiz, Kai Pflaume asks the most important questions about Hansel and Gretel.

Munich on August 13, 1961. A train with GDR citizens as passengers is on its way to East Berlin. On the way, the news of the Wall being built spread like wildfire. The convinced communist Marlies (Susanne Bormann), daughter of a high-ranking NVA officer (Uwe Kockisch), immediately recognizes the effects this threatens on her marriage and the two children (Kolja Rashed, Klara Metten). Her husband Gerd (Jan Krauter), an engineer critical of the regime, urges her to stay in Germany. With each stop, the decision as to whether the family breaks up gets closer.
