8:15 p.m., ZDF, The Quartet – Dark Heroes, Crime
The murder of Manuela Weidner (Petra Zieser) causes a stir in the election campaign of Leipzig’s mayoral candidates. Ironically, the favored Jan Temper (Alexander Khuon) is targeted by the investigators. The fact that he is the son of the legendary Walter Temper (Thomas Thieme), a hero of the 1989 revolution and idol of Commissioner Maike Riem (Anja Kling), makes the case very explosive. A video emerges in which the victim threatens to reveal a family secret.

Young Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson) receives an encrypted distress call from a mysterious off-map island – a world of strange creatures, golden mountains, deadly volcanoes and mind-boggling secrets. Because Sean’s stepfather Hank (Dwayne Johnson) can’t dissuade the boy from his plan, he accompanies his son on the mission. With a helicopter pilot and his self-confident daughter, they set off in search of the island.

Early 20th century: Attorney Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe) is hired by his firm to settle the estate of the late Alice Drablow. Upon arriving in the remote village of Crythin Gifford, he is amazed at the unfriendly nature of the villagers. They want to get rid of Arthur as soon as possible. Arthur only finds out much too late that there is a good reason for this. Strange things are happening at Alice Drablow’s house while he’s working in the village. Arthur thinks he sees their spirit haunting there.
