The broadcasters have already announced some formats for the 2021 TV season. Well-established shows and new productions are included.

Despite the production restrictions caused by the corona pandemic, the TV channels will set up numerous formats for 2021. These shows have already been announced.

"I'm a Star – The Great Jungle Show"

In the 15-part event series "I am a star – The great jungle show" (also via TVNow), celebrities will fight for entry into the jungle camp in 2022 from January 15th. The station announced this on "RTL.de". Not only does the well-tried moderation duo Sonja Zietlow (52) and Daniel Hartwich (42) take a close look at the candidates. Jungle camp darling Dr. Bob is specially flown in from Australia. The regular jungle camp was canceled due to the corona restrictions.

"Germany seeks the superstar"

The 18th "DSDS" season will celebrate its premiere in early 2021. The castings took place on a ship in Germany, for the recall it went to the Greek island of Mykonos due to the comparatively low number of corona infections there. The RTL casting show also made headlines, as juror Michael Wendler (48) announced his premature end. In addition to Dieter Bohlen (66), from the recall in Greece, only Maite Kelly (40) and Mike Singer (20, "Karma") rate the talents' performances. It starts on January 5th.

"The Bachelor"

In 2020 it was Sebastian Preuss (30), next year "The Bachelor" is called Niko Griesert (30). The eleventh season of the RTL dome show will take place in Germany for the first time due to the corona pandemic. No problem for Griesert, after all, he wanted to find the woman for life and "no vacation flirt", he explained in an RTL interview. The new episodes will be shown from January 20th.

"Who is stealing the show from me?"

Thomas Gottschalk (70), Elyas M'Barek (38) and Palina Rojinski (35) play against moderator Joko Winterscheidt (41) for his job as ProSieben quiz master. In five episodes of the new TV show "Who is stealing the show from me?" Winterscheidt has to defend his position as a show host. In addition to the stars, a changing wildcard viewer tries to steal the show from Winterscheidt. The new format will run from January 5, 2021, every Tuesday at 8:15 p.m., on ProSieben and Joyn.

"Germany's Next Topmodel"

From February 4th, Heidi Klum (47) is looking for "Germany's next top model" again on ProSieben. The start of shooting for the 16th season was due to the corona pandemic in Berlin. In the new episodes, Heidi Klum once again invites star guests to her side, who support her in the decision. On Instagram, she already showed a photo with her first celebrity guest: It is fashion designer Manfred Thierry Mugler (72). But of course he should not be missing in the "GNTM" cosmos: Star photographer Rankin (54).

"Sing my song"

Michael Patrick Kelly (43) said goodbye as the host of "Sing my Song – The Exchange Concert". The successor has already been determined: In 2021, Johannes Oerding (39) invites the eighth season of the VOX show to host a song swap. Also there are "Mighty Oaks" front man Ian Hooper (27), singer-songwriter Joris (31), rapper Nura (32), Swiss pop and soul singer Stefanie Heinzmann (31), reggae star Gentleman (45) and Pop icon DJ BoBo (52).

"It's Showtime – Stars Against Cancer"

In the new VOX program "Showtime of my Life – Stars Against Cancer" (spring 2021) 16 celebrities – eight women and eight men – drop their covers. Both shows are moderated by Guido Maria Kretschmer (55). The "Let's Dance" judges Motsi Mabuse (39) and Joachim Llambi (56) coach the women (Mabuse) and men (Llambi) for the stage show. The message of the format: those who undress can save their lives.

In the show area, there will also be a ninth season of "The Voice Kids" (spring 2021), this time the coaches are Alvaro Soler (29), Wincent Weiss (27), Stefanie Kloß (36) and Michi Beck (53 ) and Smudo (52) from the Fantastischen Vier. Further highlights in spring: The popular dance show "Let's Dance" is to be continued on RTL, on VOX there is again a fight for the best deals in the founding show "Die Höhle der Löwen" and ProSieben will start on February 16 with season four of " The Masked Singer "continues. Despite persistent rumors of an end, there will also be a second season of the show "Queen of Drags", in which Heidi Klum is looking for the best drag queen.

In the area of ​​trash and dating shows, viewers can look forward to two seasons of the dome show "Love Island" (RTLzwei). TVNow has a third season of "Temptation Island" and a second season of its dating format "Are You The One?" announced, the latter with Sophia Thomalla (31) as moderator.

RTLzwei has also guaranteed the fans a second season of "Battle of Reality Stars" for 2021. There will also be a second season of the game show "Celebs under Palms", which premiered in 2019 and gave Sat.1 dream ratings. Filming is scheduled for early next year in Thailand. The former "Celebs under palm trees" participant and businesswoman Claudia Obert (59) will even get her own show in 2021: In "Claudia's House of Love" (January 7th at Joyn Plus +) she is looking for the right person.
