8:15 p.m., ZDF, A Taunus thriller: Mother’s Day (1), thriller
In their latest case, the two Taunus investigators Graf von Bodenstein (Tim Bergmann) and Pia Sander (Annika Kuhl) are confronted with a serial killer who always kills women on Mother’s Day. Shortly before the next Mother’s Day, the investigators’ nerves are on edge. The corpse of old Theodor Reifenrath (Thomas Thieme) is found in Mammolshain im Taunus. Accident or Murder? Because the safe is open and empty, Sander and von Bodenstein start investigations.
8:15 p.m., the first, against animal seriousness 2022, carnival show
After the event had to be canceled last year due to corona, the time has come again: In Aachen, the “Order against animal seriousness” will be awarded for the 71st time by the Aachen Carnival Association AKV. Of course, this year under the conditions possible in the pandemic, and of course, as always, with high-ranking political speakers on stage, with a sense of home in Aachen, comedy and a little bit of carnival.

A robbery in Chicago goes horribly wrong and the gangsters involved are killed. Three widows are left behind who, apart from their grief, have one thing in common: crushing debts. But there is a way out: in the notebook of the head of the gang who was killed, his widow (Viola Davis) finds the plan for his next big coup. The women decide to carry out the robbery themselves. But even the best planning does not protect against nasty surprises.
