The return to his home village and the confrontation with his former football coach, who abused him as a child, bring down the professionally successful Frank (Felix Klare) into a deep life crisis. Frank never told anyone about his ordeal. At the urging of his wife Sabina (Patricia Aulitzky), he moves back, and in this familiar environment, feelings of guilt and shame that have been suppressed for years break over him. Sabina doesn’t recognize her husband and is confused because Frank is destroying everything they have built together. But what happened in Frank’s childhood that made him want a break and take refuge in a hotel room in Frankfurt?
