8:15 p.m., ZDF, Friesland: Under the surface, crime comedy

Funeral director Habedank (Holger Stockhaus) offers customers “digital estate management”. Because social media accounts, e-mail inboxes and dating apps have to be terminated, deleted or shut down. However, when a customer suddenly dies, the enterprising undertaker not only has the police on his hands, but also the widower’s lawyer, Svantje Oltmann (Valerie Niehaus). On behalf of her client Hinnerk Schwidden (Aljoscha Stadelmann), this claims the digital heritage.

8:15 p.m., Sat.1, Sonic the Hedgehog, digital trick fun

Sonic’s extraordinary ability to move in a matter of seconds calls forth adversaries who leave him with no choice but to abandon his homeland and flee to Earth. But even here he does not remain undiscovered for long and is targeted by the strange Dr. robotnik. Can small-town cop Tom and his wife bail him out?

In AD 79, Milo (Kit Harington) lives in Londinium as an enslaved gladiator. One day he is taken to the gladiator school in Pompeii by a slave trader. On his way there he meets Cassia (Emily Browning), the daughter of the head of state of Pompeii. It’s love at first sight. When Milo denies his first gladiator fight in the arena, Mount Vesuvius erupts. He must flee, but not without Cassia.

Chart striker Nico Santos, known for his emotional hits, who meets comedian and musician Olli Dittrich, and Switzerland’s most successful hit exporter, Beatrice Egli, dare to compete this time with Austrian “Let’s Dance” presenter Viktoria Swarovski picks up. In the third match of the evening, “Who knows something like that?” – veteran Jürgen Vogel plays against Mario Barth, celebrated as the “King of live comedy”.

10:20 p.m., Sat.1, Johnny English – now even more so, agent comedy

A few years ago, MI-7 agent Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson) badly beat up a mission in Mozambique. The dopey secret service agent is so ashamed of this that he seeks refuge in a Tibetan monastery, where a Buddhist monk makes it his mission to train him in Asian martial arts. But then Johnny is brought back to the British Secret Service in London. Apparently the Chinese prime minister is about to be assassinated. English of all people has to hunt down the masterminds and prevent the attack.
