During a guided tour of the forest, old forester Georg Bergelt (Andreas Schmidt-Schaller) sees a climber falling down a steep rock face. The detectives discover that the man was already dead at the time of the fall. It’s about dr. Lenhard Hellmann (Robin Sondermann), the founder of an innovative and successful textile start-up in Chemnitz. His two business partners Julia Jacobi (Julia Hartmann) and Phillip Mertens (Tobias Schormann) are shocked by the death of their colleague. The inspectors Robert Winkler and Karina Szabo investigate.

Billionaire Damian Hale (Ben Kingsley) is confronted with a fatal cancer diagnosis. Finding a business card, Hale gets in touch with a certain Dr. Albright (Matthew Goode) who promises him a new treatment. His consciousness is transferred to the healthy but artificial body of a young man. But Hale suffers from severe hallucinations after his transformation, for which he fakes his death in public.

Fina Valent (Anne Schäfer) and Xavi Bonet (Clemens Schick) are called to a crime scene on a construction site. There is fierce cut-throat competition in Barcelona. Like many major cities, the Catalan capital is suffering from gentrification. Where there used to be simple apartment buildings, luxury apartments are now being built. Among the winners of this crowding out was contractor Macario Herera (Abdelatif Hwidar). But now he was found dead on one of his construction sites.
