8:15 p.m., The First, Crime Scene: Explain Chimera, Crime

A wine shop near Münster is the only clue at first. The 25-year-old Luiz Bensao had taken a taxi here the day before he died. Now he was found murdered in an old slaughterhouse. Commissioner Frank Thiel (Axel Prahl) and his colleague Nadeshda Krusenstern (Friederike Kempter), who has just been promoted to commissioner, take over the investigation. Meanwhile, Professor Karl-Friedrich Boerne (Jan Josef Liefers) has announced a visit from overseas. His hereditary uncle Gustav von Elst (Christian Kohlund) from Florida comes to Münster.

8:15 p.m., RTL, Valerian – The city of a thousand planets, sci-fi adventure

In the year 2740, agents Valerian (Dane DeHaan), a swashbuckling womanizer, and self-confident Laureline (Cara Delevingne) are on a government mission to maintain order in the universe. On a special mission in the intergalactic city of Alpha, where thousands of species live peacefully together, the duo encounters subversive forces that endanger not only the multi-million metropolis, but the entire galaxy.

26-year-old Louisa (Emilia Clarke) takes a job with the wealthy Traynor family. She is tasked with supporting and entertaining the paralyzed son, Will. But the embittered Will (Sam Claflin) rejects Louisa. He also has other plans that Louisa doesn’t fit into. Will’s father Stephen (Charles Dance) deliberately concealed from Louisa that Will is already planning the end of his life by means of a so-called “assisted suicide” in Switzerland. For the sake of his parents, he postponed the trip to Switzerland for six months, that is a whole half a year.

8:15 p.m., arte, The Immigrant, melodrama

January 1921: The orphaned Polish women Ewa (Marion Cotillard) and Magda Cybulska (Angela Sarafyan) reach New York after an arduous voyage. After their parents were executed by soldiers, the two hope for a new beginning in the “promised land” America. During the initial examination, Magda is quarantined because of suspected tuberculosis; and Ewa is also denied entry because the reputation of a “light girl” was attached to her on the ship voyage. Just before she is due to board the ship back to Europe, she is rescued by the enigmatic Bruno Weiss (Jeremy Renner), albeit at great cost.

8:15 p.m., ONE, The Best Piece of the Roast, Comedy

“Cooking is war” – this is the life motto of the brilliant but egocentric star chef and womanizer Michi Griesebach (Fritz Karl), who has been at odds with the self-important restaurant critic Harry Dumont (Herbert Knaup) for years. Now the showdown is imminent with the opening of his posh restaurant: Dumont, whose column will decide about weal and woe, has already announced a devastating slating. By chance, however, Michi meets Dumont’s daughter (Christina Hecke) and starts a covert operation.
