8:15 p.m., ZDFneo, North North Murder: Clüver and the King of Sylt, thriller
Chief Inspector Clüver (Robert Atzorn) has to deal with the blackmailing of a really important opponent. Wilfried König (Thomas Thieme) is a very wealthy entrepreneur, art collector and mayor of the Sylt community. But König has a huge problem: When he comes home from a local council meeting in the evening, he finds his personal trainer Samy Adiaffi dead in the bedroom of his villa. However, König doesn’t need the police at all right now.
8:15 p.m., ZDF, Monaco’s unfortunate princess, documentary
The Princesses of Monaco have a seemingly enviable job: providing glitz, glamor and preserving the dynasty. But they don’t seem to be happy with it. The documentary explores why the Grimaldi princesses – from Grace Kelly to Caroline to Charlène – are tragic figures for all their beauty, wealth and seemingly privileged lives.
8:15 p.m., ProSieben, Who’s stealing the show?, Show
Probably the most extraordinary prize in the history of the show is at stake again: Joko Winterscheidt’s job. Three celebrities and a wildcard viewer challenge moderator Joko as a candidate to literally steal the show from him. The winner becomes the presenter of the next issue and can redesign the show to their will, while Joko, as a contestant, has to fight to win back his own show.
8:15 p.m., Tele 5, The Poseidon attack, disaster thriller
Instead of the planned happy New Year’s Eve celebrations on the luxury liner “SS Poseidon”, the illustrious company has just been hit by a bomb attack. The ship’s hull is open, entering water causes the cruiser to capsize. Contact with the outside world is cut off. Thousands of passengers are in mortal danger. Mike Rogo (Adam Baldwin) proves himself as a rescuer in distress.
8:15 p.m., 3Sat, among neighbors, psychodrama
The budding friendship between two unlikely neighbors takes a tragic turn when David (Maxim Mehmet) hits and fatally injures a woman. At Robert’s (Charly Huber) urging, he commits a hit-and-run. While Robert hopes to finally be able to bind the new neighbor to him, David is consumed by feelings of guilt. When he meets Vanessa (Petra Schmidt-Schaller), the victim’s sister, he believes he can make up for the mistake. But he didn’t count on Robert.
