Gellert (Herbert Knaup) takes care of the former nail salon owner Gerda Bender (Carolin Spieß), who has been taken in by an internet scammer. She was recruited as a tester for online banking and opened a bank account that the perpetrator could use to carry out illegal delivery transactions for a long time unnoticed. Now she has a lot of lawsuits to deal with and a pile of debt. Charlie (Mathilde Bundschuh), who is really good with computers, follows the scammer’s trail on the Internet.

The dead man is pilot Jens Hansen, who ran a flight company on Sylt. At first everything looks like an ordinary robbery-murder. But it soon becomes apparent that Hansen’s middle-class life had broken.

On a farm in the northern French province of Picardy, the police make a gruesome discovery: the family was brutally murdered and robbed – the latest in a series of brutal robberies. At the same time, Commissioner Maigret (Rowan Atkinson) receives an anonymous emergency call in Paris. A man is terrified and claims that murderers are chasing him. Before Maigret can find out more, the stranger hangs up. The caller is actually stabbed that same night.
