Isa von Bredes (Sabine Postel) ex-husband Robert (Filip Peeters) is accused of having forged pictures of his teacher, a famous painter, and selling them at high prices after his death. Robert protests his innocence, although everything speaks against him. Isa and Markus Gellert (Herbert Knaup) feel that he is not telling them the whole truth. Without telling Isa, Gellert searches for answers in Roberts’ past – and finds the art teacher Antje Siebert (Désirée Nosbusch), with whom Robert lived after the separation from Isa.

Jakob Dengler (Jannis Niewöhner) has disappeared. His father, private investigator Georg Dengler (Ronald Zehrfeld), has no idea that his son works as an activist for animal welfare and is on a delicate mission. The call for help from the mysterious hacker Olga (Birgit Minichmayr) from Berlin is inconvenient for Dengler, but he owes her something and frees her from her persecutors from the BKA in a daring action. Together they look for Jakob, who last researched factory farming. Obviously Jakob came across completely different machinations: the brutal exploitation of Romanian temporary workers.
