In “Winter Waltz” (The First), a grieving dance teacher gains new courage to face life. The “Boss” (ZDF) is investigating a murder in which there appears to be no murder weapon. On ProSieben, the “Office Christmas Party” with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman is getting out of hand.
8:15 p.m., Das Erste, Winter Waltz, tragicomedy
Albert (Ulrich Matthes) never wants to dance the slow waltz again! Because it belonged to his wife Martha and him. Albert is a retired dance teacher and has been a widower for three years. He misses his wife so much that he misses everyone Has lost the courage to live, buries himself in his semi-detached house – and meticulously plans his demise. But an unforeseen dance class with an exceptionally untalented student thwarts his plans. What he doesn’t know is that his daughter Ina (Antonia Bill) has hatched a plot to save him. The untalented student is psychiatrist Hanne (Nina Kunzendorf), who is supposed to treat Albert unnoticed – as a kind of undercover therapist, so to speak.

When Markus Hoppe (Arthur Galiandin) enters his company Enrodigital early in the morning, he has no idea that it will be a short day at work for him. Just half an hour later, Hoppe is dead. The case makes things difficult for Vera Lanz (Katharina Böhm) and her team – no witnesses, no murder weapon, no surveillance cameras. The list of Hoppe’s enemies, however, is long. With falsified balance sheets, the entrepreneur had plunged small investors in his company Stipwire into ruin.
8:15 p.m., ProSieben, Office Christmas Party, comedy
A large company’s Chicago office is set to close. The manager Clay (TJ Miller) and other colleagues (including Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman) come up with the brilliant idea of impressing a potentially company-saving customer with a Christmas party. But the festival gets completely out of hand, so much so that the whole of Chicago will remember it.
8:15 p.m., Tele 5, Johnny English – Now more than ever, spy comedy
A few years ago, MI-7 agent Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson) thoroughly botched a mission in Mozambique. The idiot secret service agent is so ashamed of this that he seeks refuge in a Tibetan monastery, where a Buddhist monk makes it his mission to train him in Asian martial arts. But then Johnny is brought back to London by the British secret service. Apparently the Chinese Prime Minister is supposed to be the victim of an assassination attempt. English, of all people, has to hunt down the masterminds and prevent the attack.
9:15 p.m., ZDF, SOKO Leipzig: When you sleep, crime series
Leonie Schubert (Mia Rainprechter) wakes up from a coma after two years after her brother Simon (Wolf Danny Homann) switches off the life support machines. Completely surprisingly, Leonie now accuses her brother of wanting to kill her. The suspicion does not seem unfounded. But it’s not just Simon who seems strange, but also Leonie’s treating doctor, Dr. Emma Holler (Effi Rabsilber) behaves conspicuously.
