The red square operator will automatically increase some of its RED by SFR packages. It’s time to check your emails!

It’s a rather dubious but completely legal business practice that operators use and abuse to quietly increase their revenue on the backs of their loyal subscribers.

An e-mail informs RED by SFR customers of an increase of 3 euros in their package

SFR has just sent an e-mail to its customers who have subscribed to a non-binding RED by SFR offer. The latter will soon see the price of their mobile plan increase by 3 euros.

To justify this significant increase, compared to other prices charged by the French mobile operator, SFR explains to continue ” its commitments and investments, and [accélérer] the deployment of its network to offer you the best customer experience “. Investments ultimately paid by subscribers.

Despite everything, customers will not leave empty-handed, since this new, more expensive offer will include 60 GB of mobile data to be used each month, but also the possibility of accessing the operator’s 5G antennas, subject of course to have a compatible smartphone and be in one of the covered areas.

Act as quickly as possible by logging into your customer area and refusing the change of offer

We are starting to get used to it, the increase is generalized to all the customers contacted. If you do not express your refusal to switch to this new plan, the price will increase automatically, and you will no longer have the possibility of going back. Only changing mobile operator will allow you to lower the bill.

This little maneuver is common to all operators, who have used it at least once to increase revenue per user by a few euros by counting on the carelessness of some of their customers.

To act, if you do not want more gigabytes each month to connect on the move, simply log in to your customer area and refuse the switch to this new offer in the options relating to your package.

SFR gives you a few months for this, because this price increase will take place from the invoice of November 2022. We invite you on our side to act immediately after receipt of this e-mail to avoid any oversights and any unpleasant surprises.

SFR review: what do you need to know before subscribing to an SFR package? Clubic

Founded in 1987, Société Française du Radiotéléphone (SFR) is still the second-largest operator in France in terms of market share in the telecoms sector. Direct competitor of Orange, it offers among the best mobile plans, without commitment, in particular within the framework of bundled offers with an internet box. But there’s no denying the bad publicity surrounding the red-squared operator. So, let’s take stock.
