Here is a leak that NVIDIA would probably have done well without and which falls just in time between the publication of the first tests and the actual release of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, the latest creation from the GeForce promoter.
A last minute adjustment
Our colleagues from Videocardz have actually learned that AMD has made a very timely adjustment to its future Radeon RX 7600. The third RDNA3 card should actually be released tomorrow at 3 p.m., at the same time as the GeFroce RTX 4060 Ti.
Until now, all the information converged to say that the exit would be done at 299 dollars – AMD having confirmed the thing – and the only unknown was the selling price on our side of the Atlantic. It was then rather possible that it would turn around 329 or 339 euros.
A price that would have placed the card more or less 100 euros below the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti that we have just tested: the difference is substantial, but quite logical given the technical specifications of the cards.
Less than 300 euros!
But now, as Videocardz explains, AMD has communicated a new recommended retail price (MSRP) just 24 hours from launch. A tariff which will not be a revolution, but which changes the situation a little.
Indeed, AMD lowers the MSRP of its RX 7600 by 30 dollars in the United States and would have taken the opportunity to announce the selling price in Europe. We therefore find ourselves at 269 dollars across the Atlantic and 299 euros in France. Yes, we go below the symobile bar of 300 euros for the first time on a “new generation” graphics card.
Of course, we have to wait for the publication of the tests – tomorrow (Wednesday) at 3 p.m. – to see if the RX 7600 has other advantages than this price. Also note that NVIDIA is preparing a response to this RX 7600: the RTX 4060 will arrive in July… Well, unless the company in turn decides on a last-minute change!
