Bigger, smaller, with a colored background or without… Prime Video offers its subscribers a feature allowing them to personalize subtitles. Here’s how to do it with our step-by-step.
Every week, AlloCiné publishes different tutorials allowing you to configure your Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ accounts. From parental controls to automatic playback through hidden codes, we explain how to make the most of the different features offered by streaming platforms.
Today we show you how to change subtitles on Prime Video. If you watch your programs in original language for example and you want to make the text more readable, you have several options. Which ones precisely? Answer in our step-by-step!
Step 1: on the home page
When you arrive on the home page of your profile, you must start by clicking on the tab at the top right. On the drop-down bar, you go to “account and settings”.
Step 2: go to the “subtitles” tab
You will then be directed to this page where the different features offered by Prime Video are located. What interests us here is the “subtitles” categories. Click on it.
Step 3: Change subtitle settings
When you arrive on the “subtitles” page, you have two possible configurations. The default setting, or one you can customize.
STEP 4: have fun!
Prime Video allows you to change the size of the text, create a background, color it, make it more or less transparent. It is even possible to frame your subtitles with colored borders. You can also choose the font from the drop-down menu. In short, have fun but don’t forget one thing: it must remain readable!
