In gestation at Prime Video since 2022, a highly anticipated series finally finds its main role in the person of a star rightly acclaimed for his great talent.
The Prime Video series in question is Blade Runner 2099, which is desired by fans of Ridley Scott’s work. Now they have another reason to be curious to see what the dystopian future has in store, as the talented Michelle Yeoh joins the cast in the lead role.

Michelle Yeoh received the Academy Award for Best Actress for her superb performance in the excellent “ Everything Everywhere, All at Once “. Prime Video thus finds in her a real star to carry its series Blade Runner 2099. This unfortunately does not yet have a release date. However, it was announced in 2021 by Ridley Scott, and put into production by Amazon in February 2022. Filming began in February of this year.
As a reminder, the future Prime Video series is intended to be the sequel to the original Blade Runner film released in 1982 and Blade Runner 2049 released in 2017. Since Michelle Yeoh will play the main role, this will not be the case for Ryan Gosling, who occupied this position in the previous film. Prime Video has not yet specified whether the actor will also be part of the cast. The series will in any case be headed by Silka Luisa. Ridley Scott will be executive producer.
