Despite a huge budget, there Season 1 of Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power will not have completely convinced the fans of the universe imagined by JRR Tolkien, but Amazon Prime Video has long since confirmed that a Season 2 was going to see the light of day. This week we are entitled to a release date and a first teaser :
Amazon Prime Video wanted to get the fans back in the pocket, this first video resumes cult shots from the trilogy Lord of the Rings by Peter Jacksonnotably at the very beginning of the trailer with the Mountain of Destiny looming in the distance. While the first season left us at our end, these new episodes should get to the heart of the matter a little more with Rings and especially Sauron. The antagonist, who now takes the appearance of an elf, seems to gain power and even build the foundations of his Dark Tower, Barad-dûr.
We have to be content with that for the moment, but these new episodes will arrive this summer. The release date of Season 2 of Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power is set for August 29, 2024exclusively on Prime Video. You can subscribe to Amazon Prime against €6.99 per month or €69.90 per year.
