Picard’s future remains uncertain to this day. While the series was originally conceived as a program spanning three seasons, Patrick Stewart has nevertheless declared himself open to the idea of again embodying the role of Jean-Luc Picard, thus paving the way for a potential season 4, or ordering a spin-off from the series.
