While awaiting his trial, his former masseuse made terrible confidences with the Sun. Fifteen years ago, Emma Gruenbaum was a masseuse at the Wentworth Club in Surrey. It was there that she met Sarah Ferguson and then-husband Prince Andrew. “He was naked under the towel. We started the massage. But all the way through he was talking about anal sex and making jokes about anal sex. He asked me when was the last time I had sex It didn’t stop, she explained. I kept telling him to shut up, but I quickly realized he was ok with being talked to like he was a naughty schoolboy.”
After this first meeting, Emma Gruenbaum saw Prince Andrew five times. At each of his massages, the Duke of York would have behaved more and more borderline. “Every time I saw him he was trying to push his limits. He was always trying to hug me. I had to put my hand on his chest, push him away and say, ‘Listen, I don’t hug'”, told the masseuse. After visiting Elizabeth II’s son almost weekly for about two months, Emma stopped getting calls from her staff to arrange appointments. “I think it was because he wanted more.she analyzes with years of hindsight. His advances weren’t working and I think his patience ran out. He was always trying to steer the conversation towards sex or sex jokes.”

If she decided to speak in the media, it was to respond to Prince Andrew’s lawyers who said that his accuser, Virginia Robert, could have “false memories” on his meeting with the Duke of York. “I can’t and don’t want to stay silent and not talk about how he was behaving with me when he says Virginia is delusional,” she added. Accused of sexual assault, Prince Andrew has become persona non grata within the monarchy. Last January, he was stripped of most of his military titles as well as his charitable patronage, and will no longer be able to use his title of Royal Highness. A few days later, he formally requested to be tried in a civil trial in New York.
