Rare appearance: Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson attended a memorial service together at Windsor Castle.
Royals from all over the world came to Windsor Castle for the memorial service for the late ex-King Constantine of Greece (1940-2023). King Charles III, 75, had actually invited, together with his wife Camilla, 76, and heir to the throne Prince William, 41. However, Charles was unable to be there due to his cancer, and William canceled at short notice due to “personal reasons”. Princess Kate, 42, also had to miss out due to her abdominal surgery in January. Queen Camilla, the highest-ranking member of the British royals, led the commemoration ceremony on site.
She was supported by Princess Anne, 73, as well as Zara, 42, and Mike Tindall, 45. Prince Andrew, 64, and Sarah Ferguson, 64, also attended the appointment. Pictures show the ex-couple together on the way to the funeral service.
The European nobility was also represented, including King Felipe, 56, and Queen Letizia of Spain, 51. Spain’s former king Juan Carlos, 86, came to the funeral service in St. George’s Chapel supported by his son’s arm. Princess Marie-Chantal, 55, and Prince Pavlos, 65, son of the late ex-king, led the Greek delegation.

Almost simultaneously, King Charles was spotted at Clarence House on Tuesday afternoon, cheerfully waving to local people from a heavy limousine. According to the Daily Mail The monarch spent the morning at Windsor Castle, but was taken to his place of work before the memorial service. It was previously announced that he would not be taking part.
King Charles III and Constantine II were not only second cousins, but also long-time good friends. The last king of Greece was also Prince William’s godfather. Constantine II was the last king of the Hellenes from 1964 until the abolition of the Greek monarchy in 1973. After decades of exile, he only returned to Greece in 2013. Charles’ father, Prince Philip (1921-2021), was also of Greek descent and the cousin of Paul of Greece (1901-1964), the father of Constantine II.
