  • According to the Mirror, Prince Andrew does not want to collaborate with American justice
  • A source would have told our colleagues that he will not provide any assistance to the FBI
  • Yet lawyers for Jeffrey Epstein victims are waiting for Prince Andrew to cooperate

Prince Andrew stays straight in his boots. According to the revelations of Mirrorthe son of Queen Elizabeth II “no intention” to help American justice. He who is accused of rape by Virginie Guiffre would not be inclined to collaborate with the FBI. If he had nevertheless undertaken to do so previously, he would have changed his mind according to a source interviewed by our colleagues : “Andrew does not intend to speak to the American authorities. He has nothing to say and nothing to add. He sees no reason to do so and now that his case has been settled with Virginia Giuffre, he considers that the matter is settled.”

In fact, the case was settled out of court. prince andrew agreed to pay the sum of 12 million pounds sterling to Virginie Giuffre, indicating all the same that he had no memory of having met her. But as Ghislaine Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison, attorney Lisa Bloom said: “Virginia’s civil case should be just the beginning. Anyone associated with Epstein and Maxwell should be fully investigated. We call on the FBI to fully investigate Prince Andrew”. Same story on the side of the lawyer for the victims of Jeffrey Epstein : “He should definitely be worried.”

Prince Andrew’s lawyers dispute

The lawyer even added: “But if he did nothing wrong, then come tell the whole story to the FBI, not the media.” This is not the first time that Prince Andrew has refused to collaborate with American justice. Indeed, in January 2020, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York said : “To date, Prince Andrew has provided no cooperation.” On the side of the defense of Prince Andrew, the version of the facts is very different: “The Duke of York has at least three times this year offered his assistance as a witness to the DoJ [le ministère américain de la Justice]. Unfortunately, the DoJ reacted to the first two offers by violating its own confidentiality rules and claiming that the Duke offered no cooperation. In doing so, they may be seeking publicity rather than accepting help offered.”
