Protected by Elizabeth II, hated by Charles III? This examination could thus lead the British sovereign to decide to expel Prince Andrew of the mansion where he lives with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson and the corgis that belonged to his late mother. If that were the case, the father of Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice would be indebted for a significant sum of money.
Charles III “ruthless” with his brother Andrew?
Years ago, he signed a preferential, but undisclosed, 100-year lease on this property which belonged to the Queen Mother. Thanks to this document, Prince Andrew could be compensated up to 7 million pounds sterling in the event of breach of contract by the Crown. As the Daily Mail reports, Prince Andrew owns no property apart from a ski chalet bought with his former wife in Verbier for £18million. The Duke of York was later forced to sell it to clear his debts as he failed to repay £5million he owed to the seller, French socialite Isabelle de Rouvre, who sued in justice. But his time at Windsor isn’t quite over yet.
A source told The Sun that Prince Andrew, considered to be “under the protection of the queen”, would not be kicked out of the Royal Lodge in the near future as he “would seem ruthless to evict them so soon after his death”. If asked to leave, the Duke of York will have to find new accommodation. Prince Andrew has indeed sold his former marital home in Sunninghill Park, near Windsor, which was a wedding gift from Queen Elizabeth II. The 12-bedroom property had been up for sale for five years before it was suddenly bought in 2007 for £15m by Timur Kulibayev. But no question for the King Charles III to be understanding with his brother. Quite the contrary. The sovereign should quickly take strong decisions to wash the honor of his family and further distance the Duke of York, from whom Elizabeth II had removed the royal titles.
