Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden married in 2015 and are happy to have children for the third time.

Just a few days ago, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia welcomed their third child. Now the baby’s name has been announced.

On Friday (March 26th) Prince Carl Philip (41) and Princess Sofia of Sweden (36) became parents for the third time. Now the Swedish royal family announced in an official message the boy’s name: Julian Herbert Folke, Prince Julian for short.

King Carl Gustaf (74) had called a meeting of the Council of Ministers in the Royal Palace in Stockholm for the occasion of the birth and the presentation of his eighth grandchild on Sunday (March 28). In addition to the name, it was announced that Prince Julian would receive the Duchy of Halland and thus also bear the title of Duke of Halland.

A few minutes after the announcement The royal family also published the first picture of the royal offspring. On the official Instagram page of the Swedish royal family, Prince Julian can be seen lying in a cream-colored sweater on white sheets. “Prince Julian” can be read about this. Prince Carl Philip even took the photo of the newborn himself, as can also be seen from the caption.

Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia of Sweden married in 2015. Alexander of Sweden (4) was born in April 2016, followed by his brother Gabriel of Sweden (3) in August 2017. It was only in December last year that Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia made the new pregnancy of the 36-year-old public.
