Prince Carl Philip will again take part in the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia in 2021. On Saturday he showed up in full racing gear near Kagerod.

The Prince of Sweden Carl Philip (41) is an avowed fan of fast cars and has even had a racing license for several years. In 2021 he will take part in the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia as an amateur driver over 40. At the race at Knutstorp-Ring near the town of Kagerod in the south of his home country, he showed himself in full racing gear on Saturday (May 8th).

The son of King Carl Gustaf (75) and Queen Silvia (77) stood on the asphalt in a racing suit in white, black and red. His helmet, under which he wore glasses, was in the national colors of Sweden – yellow and blue. His blue Porsche Carrera with the number 13, with which he later did his laps, was adorned with the name of the Swedish royal family: Bernadotte.

Prince Carl Philip is hoping for the Porsche title

Carl Philip, who was born as Crown Prince but is now only fourth in line to the throne following a change in the law, is hoping for the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia this year according to the official website for the title in his racing class. He entered the competition as a regular driver as early as 2020, after taking part as a guest in 2019.
