Duchess Camilla and Prince Charles have ended their trip through the south-west of England – in a good mood and with a beer.

Prince Charles (72) and Duchess Camilla (74) apparently in high spirits visited the art gallery The Burton at Bideford in Devon on its 70th anniversary this Wednesday. According to this, Prince Harry’s (36) announcement of his memoirs does not seem to cause these royals any major worries.

Charles and Camilla greeted fans and well-wishers before viewing the exhibition by photographer James Ravilious. Camilla wore a light blue linen dress and a particularly charming cream-colored lace parasol, while Prince Charles had opted for a beige suit.

Charles would have liked to have stayed longer

After visiting the exhibition, the royal couple met some community groups such as garden clubs, young people from a school club and local musicians in nearby Victoria Park. Prince Charles then visited Tennacott Farm, which makes handmade ice cream, and then attended a seminar held by the North Devon Biosphere, a UNESCO biosphere reserve.

Finally, the two stopped at a pub in Iddesleigh, where Prince Charles had a beer in animated conversation with the residents. That should have been the last date of their three-day trip through the south-west of England. According to local media the Prince of Devon is said to have been impressed and wished he could stay longer.
