Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla have teamed up with British actresses to recite a Christmas poem.

Prince Charles (72) and Duchess Camilla (73) wish a very special Merry Christmas 2020. Together with British actors, they recited the Christmas poem "'Twas The Night Before Christmas". In the video they virtually meet with Maggie Smith (85), Ncuti Gatwa (28), "James Bond" Daniel Craig (52), Tom Hardy (43), Judi Dench (86) and Penelope Keith (80) Latch in hand.

In the roughly five-minute clip, the British royals alternate sentence by sentence with the actors who have gathered in front of a glowing Christmas tree or next to a crackling log fire. The video was made for the Actors' Benevolent Fund, whose patronage Prince Charles has been for over 20 years. The charity supports actors and stage managers who are unable to work due to illness, injury or old age and who are experiencing financial difficulties, particularly during the coronavirus pandemic.

"This year was particularly difficult for those working in the industry. That is why the charity set up a corona emergency grant fund in April," said the Instagram post from "Clarence House", the official account of Prince Charles and his wife.
