Prince William and father Prince Charles have special TV projects in the pipeline. Both are committed to climate protection.

Prince William (39) will in a new BBC series be visible. Together with David Attenborough (95), he will speak to environmental pioneers who have developed innovative solutions for the most pressing climate problems in the five-part series “The Earthshot Prize: Repairing Our Planet”. These are the winners of the environmental award “Earthshot Prize”, which the British Royal launched.

In one first clip on Twitter Prince William addresses the audience directly: “We can create a different, better future, but only if we start now.” In one another short excerpt the Royal explains: “It is a time of hope, not fear. This is exactly why I created the Earthshot Prize, the most ambitious environmental award in history. A decade of action to save our planet.” The TV series starts on October 3, 2021.

Prince Charles makes common cause with Amazon

Prince William’s father, Prince Charles (72), is also campaigning for climate protection with his TV station RE: TV, which he has now launched together with Amazon Prime. As reported by “The Independent”, among others, RE: TV by Prince Charles will highlight selected projects from around the world that focus on sustainability.

“I have spent a lot of my life getting people and companies excited about the problems and solutions of the climate crisis,” said Prince Charles in a statement. The station is now supposed to increase “the will and the imagination of the people” with regard to environmentally friendly solutions. The channel shows both new and old films on topics such as sustainable fashion.
