Unusual sounds can be heard in the run-up to the EM semifinals from Prince Charles’ garden. A band plays football anthems there.

The football fever in England has finally also reached the British royals: In preparation for the European Championship semi-finals England versus Denmark on July 7th in London’s Wembley Stadium, Prince Charles (72) is playing football anthems in the garden of Clarence House. The band Coldstream Guards performed instrumental versions of the two hits “Three Lions (Football’s Coming Home)” by Baddiel, Skinner & Lightning Seeds and “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond in their London residence.

Prince Charles was not there himself

Both songs are stadium songs popular with British football fans. According to British media Prince Charles wants to express his support for the English national team. The Coldstream Guards is a military band that interpret their songs on various brass instruments. Prince Charles was not there during the performance. He is currently spending a week in Wales with his wife, Duchess Camilla (73).
