Prince Charles was spotted with his wife Duchess Camilla en route to the Birkhall Estate near Balmoral Castle. It is believed that he will sit there with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Andrew to discuss the lawsuit against his brother.

It’s a summit that Prince Charles, 72, probably hoped never had to happen. But the scandal surrounding his brother Prince Andrew, 61, continues to pick up speed. The Royal is accused by Virginia Roberts of having had sexual contact with the then minor on multiple occasions in 2001. Roberts filed a civil lawsuit worth millions against Prince Andrew in early August. At Balmoral Castle there is now apparently a meeting between the brothers and the monarch.

Prince Charles: can the image damage still be saved?

Like photos from the British Daily Mail, show, Prince Charles is together with Duchess Camilla, 73, in Scotland. After his royal obligations, which Charles completed in Scotland in the past few days, he is now to return to his Birkhall estate. This is just a few kilometers from Balmoral Castle, which is currently home to Queen Elizabeth and Prince Andrew. Andrew’s daughter Princess Eugenie, 31, and her husband Jack Brooksbank are also in Scotland, apparently to help the 61-year-old. But what exactly should be discussed at the crisis meeting?

As a source told the Daily Mail, Charles is said to doubt the actions of Andrew’s lawyers. Prince William, 39, who is also concerned about the reputation of the monarchy, should also question the legal team. For the Royals it should be clear that the scandal “means extremely serious damage to the image of the institution.” Presumably, the Queen and the other members of the family will be advised which step is now necessary and whether Prince Andrew should comment publicly on the lawsuit. Since the devastating TV interview of the accused, he has been silent about Robert’s further proceedings against him.

The pressure on Prince Andrew is growing

A solution has to be found quickly. The pressure on Prince Andrew and the royal family continues to grow. On Thursday, August 12, 2021, Scotland Yard announced that British police would support the investigation against the Duke of York. Cressida Dick stated, “Nobody is above the law.” The police chief also revealed that a third investigation into the connection between Jeffrey Epstein († 66) and Prince Andrew is already underway. However, the royal would still be considered a witness, not a suspect.
