There is no peace and quiet: the British police are investigating in the environment of a charity run by Prince Charles.

After Prince Andrew (61) has settled out of court, the British royal family may be facing a new scandal. The Metropolitan Police Service has announced that it is investigating allegations against a longtime confidant of Prince Charles (73).

The police refer to the evaluation of a letter from September 2021, which is related to corresponding media reports. At the time it was reported that an employee of Charles’ “The Prince’s Foundation” was suspected of having offered a man from Saudi Arabia not only awards but also British citizenship in return for donations.

Organization supports the police

The charity provided the police with several relevant documents for their investigation. Among other things, the investigators had had access to a corresponding internal investigation of the organization. So far there have been no interrogations or arrests.

From Clarence House according to a report by the British “Guardian”: “The Prince of Wales was unaware of the alleged offer of awards or British citizenship based on donations to his charities.” A spokesman for the “Prince’s Foundation” did not want to comment because it was “inappropriate” to comment on an ongoing police investigation.

Most recently, Prince Andrew caused a stir with an out-of-court settlement with Virginia Giuffre (38) and thus probably avoided a potentially explosive process in the United States. She had accused him of sexually abusing her when she was a minor. If the court agrees to the settlement, there will be no civil trial in the US, which was expected for the fall.
