Prince Charles: Prince Albert doesn't think he infected him

A mere glance at the chronology of the corona diseases of Prince Albert II of Monaco (62) and Prince Charles (71) suggests that the British heir to the throne may well have been infected by the Royal Monegasque. Both took part in a charity event in London at a time when Prince Albert should already have carried the virus – a short time later Prince Charles was also infected. In a conversation with the French radio station RTL France, Albert of Monaco now asserted that he had almost certainly not infected the son of Queen Elizabeth II (93).

According to Prince Albert, this was highly improbable for several reasons: "I didn't shake his hand. I was sitting far away on the other side of the table." "We just nodded to greet us, so I don't think anyone can blame me for infecting them."

Just one of many contagion options

A large number of other people had attended the event, and Prince Charles would have attended other appointments afterwards. In the eyes of Prince Albert, there were "a whole range of possibilities" for Prince Charles to become infected.

According to official statements by the respective press spokesman, both Prince Charles and Prince Albert have so far had only mild symptoms of the coronavirus. So there is currently no life-threatening danger for both men.
