Prince Christian
Hilarious scenes! Here he celebrates his graduation with friends
He is finally free! Prince Christian celebrated his graduation not only directly after his final exam on June 24, 2024, but also with a lavish party with his classmates a few days later.
Prince Christian: Lost his diploma? Dad Frederik is worried
While his parents and siblings mingled with the crowd, Christian had one of the organizers tie a black wristband around his neck and was then allowed to board one of the numerous trucks that the students had decorated with balloons, self-painted banners and Danish flags. As the motorized vehicles drove off the school grounds, the students on the loading areas said goodbye with generous champagne showers. Prince Christian didn’t shake any of the glass bottles, but always kept a can of cold drink ready in his hand, dancing and roaring along to the music.
While Mary and Josephine were photographed taking cell phone pictures of the newly minted royal graduate, the monarch himself was more concerned with the practical aspects of the party: In one video, Frederik spots his first-born son in the crowd and gestures a large square with his hands. Royal expert Christin Z. suspects on X (formerly Twitter) that Frederik was inquiring about his son’s graduation certificate, which all high school students were given in red folders. Christian makes a casual gesture with his right arm to the back, where he assumes one of his bodyguards is. And fact: The heir to the throne’s bodyguard then hands the certificate to King Frederik, who thanks him with a smile and a nod.
One detail unites Christian’s two graduation outfits
As on the day of his final exam, Prince Christian also wore his “student hat” on June 28th: a cap that graduates are given after passing their final exam and on which not only their name is embroidered on the back, but also their final grade is noted on the inside. In contrast to the luxurious look that Christian wore on June 24th, the 18-year-old opted for a casual white T-shirt for the final party, over which he briefly wore a light linen shirt. The only thing that Christian wore was his luxurious Rolex not only on Monday, but also on Friday – although he took off the expensive piece of jewelry for the truck party and probably stowed it away safely.
It is not clear how long the young prince and his friends will be celebrating their milestone today. Nor is it known whether King Frederik, Queen Mary and Christian’s siblings will join the party later. The royal family’s calendar had the program scheduled for 10:30 a.m.; after that, the royals have no more public appointments. But Frederik and Mary are probably already preparing for the coming days: From June 29, the couple will be going on a trip to Greenland. This means that King Frederik will not be able to sit in the audience on the evening of June 29th, as many football fans had hoped, when the Danish football team faces Germany in the round of 16 of the European Championship.
