Prince Constantin of Liechtenstein is dead. The son of Prince Hans-Adam II died “unexpectedly” at the age of 51.

The Liechtenstein royal family mourns the loss of one of its family members: Prince Constantin von und zu Liechtenstein (1972-2023) died “unexpectedly” in Vaduz on Tuesday, December 5th. This is what the royal house has in it announced in an official announcement on its website.

He leaves behind his wife and three children

Nothing is yet known about the cause of death. Prince Constantin was the youngest son of the reigning Prince Hans-Adam II (78) and was seventh in line to the throne. He leaves behind his wife, Princess Marie of Liechtenstein, and their three children, Prince Moritz (born 2003), Princess Georgina (born 2005) and Prince Benedikt (born 2008).

Prince Constantin was born in March 1972 in the Swiss city of St. Gallen. He had a total of three siblings: heir to the throne Prince Alois (55), Prince Maximilian (54) and Princess Tatjana. Constantin went to school in Vaduz and, after graduating from high school in 1991, began studying law at the Paris-Lodron University in Salzburg. He completed this in 1997.

The deceased most recently served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Liechtenstein Group AG and a member of the Board of Directors of Liechtenstein Group Holding AG. He had been married to his wife Marie since 1999.
