Prince George not so wise at the funeral of Elizabeth II, this hilarious shot that reminds us of his little brother Louis

Present for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II this Monday, September 19, Prince George and Princess Charlotte attracted all eyes. This, however, did not prevent the eldest son of Kate and William from indulging in some antics. In the car heading to Windsor, the young boy was indeed photographed sticking out his tongue.

Sometimes it’s hard to follow protocol when you’re a 9-year-old boy. This Monday, September 19 took place the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, died on September 8 at the age of 96, after having sat for more than 70 years on the British throne. An event described by some as the “funeral of the century” in which most of the members of the British royal family obviously participated, with the new King Charles III at its head. A doubt persisted all the same concerning the participation of the great-grandchildren of the late queen, and in particular the children of Prince William and Kate Middleton. In the end, if the absence of the youngest, Prince Louis, was regretted by the admirers of the royal family, the prince george and the princess charlotte were present to pay their last respects to the monarch.

Studied by cameras around the world, the eldest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales is still appeared dissipated during the ceremony, but it was without counting on the inflexibility of his sister. Indeed, during the procession of the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II in the streets of London, Princess Charlotte, visibly exasperated by the lack of seriousness of her big brother, did not fail to crop it severely, so that he follows the protocol to the letter. But the young boy has all the same managed to escape the vigilance of his younger sister at another time.

Prince George is tongue-tied

Indeed, while on his way to Windsor after the Queen’s funeral in Westminster Abbey, Prince George was photographed sticking out his tongue in the car. A snapshot immortalized by amateur photographer Matt White, and on which we discover the young boy making his face, out of sight of his mother, Kate Middleton, sitting behind her two children. But it was only much later that the photographer realized that he had managed to take such a photo. “I had seen Prince George and Kate walk by and take a picture of their car, but it was just a very quick shot, so I didn’t think it would look so good. I didn’t realize until later, looking at the pictures, that George was making that face.”, he confided, before adding: “It was pretty funny to take a picture – especially since he’s now runner-up to the throne and his brother did the same at Jubilee.

Indeed, last June, Prince Louis, aged 4, was noted for his behavior on the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II. During the military parade, the royal family gathered around the sovereign on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. But when the Royal Air Force fighter planes passed by, the little boy cried out in terror, before covering his ears. On other images, we also discovered the young Louis gratifying us with his most beautiful faces or exchanging a few words with the queen. Moments that had amused Internet users a lot, but perhaps less his parents, who surely preferred not to take any risks by not taking him for this solemn day.
