Duke Hugh Grosvenor is one of the richest people in the world. Currently, his fortune is estimated at 10.127 billion pounds sterling (approximately 11.9 billion euros). A staggering sum explained by the inheritance he received upon the death of his father in 2016, but which he also owes to his numerous real estate properties. In total, he owns nearly 1,500 properties, located in more than 60 countries, including entire streets in the very chic Mayfair and Belgravia districts of London. A few months ago, Hugh Grosvenor, who has an asset twenty-seven times higher than that of the British royal family, was the victim of a burglary, revealed the Daily Mail. And not just any decorator: it was a decorator he had hired for some furniture repairs who abused his trust and allegedly stole 42,000 pounds worth of watches. Given the number of watches that Hugh Grosvenor owns, he did not immediately realize the theft: it was only three weeks later that he noticed the breach when he wanted to wearing his Cartier watch, which disappeared during the burglary.
