During Earth Day, Prince Harry remembers his late grandfather, Prince Philip, and his commitment to the environment.

The organization African Parks, founded in 2000, is committed to animal and nature conservation in Africa. On Earth Day, World Earth Day, which is celebrated on April 22nd, was now republished a video in a new form, in which Prince Harry (36) emphasizes the importance of the work of the non-governmental organization. As part of the publication, he also mentions his late grandfather, Prince Philip (1921-2021).

Harry has been President of African Parks since 2017. In the clip, which is not quite two minutes, he explains to nature recordings how the efforts are to preserve the biodiversity of the continent and how the local people are also helped. Among other things, Prince Harry speaks of a “foundation for a healthy planet”.

Prince Philip supported around 1,000 organizations

On Earth Day, he thinks “of generations of environmental protectors, including my late grandfather,” Harry explains in an accompanying statement. Harry feels proud and downright driven to “do my part in this legacy”. After his death, the royal family had Prince Philips among other things explainedthat he had supported 992 different organizations in the course of his life – as their president, patron, honorary member or in another role.
