Meghan and Harry’s second child is due to be born in the summer. Allegedly, the couple is planning a break together afterwards.

After the birth of their daughter, Prince Harry (36) and Duchess Meghan (39) supposedly want to “take an appropriate break”. “It’s going to be summer and they want to make sure they both have a break so they can have a really good time together as soon as the baby arrives,” explained Royal expert Katie Nicholl in “Vanity Fair” citing a source believed to be close to the couple.

When son Archie was born in May 2019, Harry only had a short break: a few days after the birth, he flew to the Netherlands for an appointment. Meghan was also busy during her pregnancy and after Archie’s birth, she co-designed an edition of the British “Vogue” and designed a fashion collection for charity. With the second child, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are now supposed to take it easy.

Is Meghan planning a home birth?

There have also just been rumors that Meghan and Harry’s daughter will be born in a home birth. The Duchess is reportedly planning to deliver the baby in her villa in Montecito, California. That reported “Page Six”, the celebrity site of the “New York Post”.

Even while she was pregnant with Archie, Meghan dreamed of a home birth, the report says. At that time she was still living with Prince Harry at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. But when Archie was a week overdue, the Duchess was allegedly taken to the private Portland Hospital in London on the advice of doctors, where her son was finally born. “The most important thing for Meghan was to deliver Archie safely,” an insider told Page Six. He added, “But she has a beautiful home in California. It’s a beautiful setting to give birth to her little girl.”

The property in Montecito, which is said to have cost over 12 million euros, was bought by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex last year. By the spring of 2020, they had resigned as working members of the royal family and moved to California. At the beginning of March, the Sussexes announced in a major TV interview with Oprah Winfrey (67) that the second child would be a girl and would be born in the summer. “It’s a girl. A boy and a girl: what more could you want?” Said Harry. However, this completes the family planning. “Done. The four of us. That’s all. Two is enough,” he added.
