Harry and Meghan have become parents again. Before naming their daughter Lilibet, they apparently got the Queen’s permission.

On June 6, Prince Harry (36) and Duchess Meghan (39) announced to the world that they had recently become parents again. It was announced on the website of their Archewell Foundationthat her daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor saw the light of day in a California hospital on June 4th. They left the special name of the little ones according to a report by the US side “Page Six” approved by Queen Elizabeth II (95).

Harry called the Queen before the birth to clarify whether the couple could name their upcoming daughter Lilibet, as several anonymous sources are said to have confirmed. Another insider said, however, that he thinks it is more likely that Harry and Meghan called the Queen after the birth and told her that they were planning to name their daughter after Elizabeth II. According to an article in the US magazine “People” have at least found out about the birth before the public.

That is why the little Lilibet is called Diana

The name Lilibet “Lili” Diana is so special because the Sussexes honor two important people from Harry’s life. As explained on the Archewell website, the Queen, Harry’s grandmother, is affectionately called Lilibet by members of the family, the middle name Diana commemorating his mother, who died in 1997.

Lilibet is the second child for Harry and Meghan, who have been married since 2018. Their son Archie (2) was born in May 2019. The couple moved to North America in 2020 and, after spending time in Canada and Los Angeles, now live in Montecito, California. When the Queen will be able to see little Lili in person for the first time is currently open.
