According to British media reports, Prince Harry (37) and Duchess Meghan (41) could fly their children Archie (3) and Lilibet (1) to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) to Great Britain. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been living in the United States since 2020. They were on a trip to Europe when Harry’s grandmother died at the age of 96 on Thursday. Harry and Meghan are reportedly planning to remain in the UK until the end of the royal mourning period, which ends seven days after the Queen’s funeral on September 19.
The couple’s children, Archie and Lilibet, meanwhile, are said to have remained in the care of Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, 66, in California. The Sussexes originally only wanted to spend seven days in Europe. As reported by The Telegraphconsiderations are currently underway as to whether Doria Ragland and the children should now be brought to Great Britain.
surprise at the weekend
On Saturday, the Sussexes had already caused a big surprise: Harry and his brother Prince William (40) put their long-standing conflict aside in view of their grandmother’s death and came to the grieving fans with their wives Princess Kate (40) and Duchess Meghan in front of Windsor Castle.
For almost an hour, they inspected together – Harry and Meghan mostly hand in hand – the sea of flowers that had been laid in honor of the popular monarch at the gates of the royal estate.
The surprise appearance marked the first time the two couples have appeared in public together since Commonwealth Day on March 9, 2020. And it’s the first time William and Harry have been spotted in public together since attending the opening of the memorial honoring their mother, Princess Diana (1961-1997).
