The "Megxit" is officially sealed, but Prince Harry (36) and Duchess Meghan (39) want to continue their charitable work. With their Archewell Foundation, the couple now supports a women's shelter in Dallas, Texas, among other things. The facility, which takes in around 3,700 women and children every year, suffered major damage as a result of an enormous snap of snow and cold.

"Genesis Women's Shelter & Support" thanked them on Sunday via Twitter to the celebrity helpers: "The news of our damage reached Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex today. Through their non-profit organization, they support us by replacing the roof of our transitional shelter and helping us meet our immediate needs to breastfeed. Thank you, Archewell Foundation! " The women's shelter had to close its doors for the first time in almost 40 years due to the winter disaster.

It is her first charity engagement after the official "Megxit"

Just last Friday (February 19), Buckingham Palace announced in a statement that Harry and Meghan will not return as working royals. The couple had agreed a transition period of twelve months with Queen Elizabeth II (94). In her statement, the Queen stated that her grandson and his wife were no longer able to "carry on the responsibilities and duties of a life in public service".

The couple, who have lived in California with their son Archie (1) for several months, then stated in a separate statement that they would remain true to their duties and responsibilities in the UK and around the world. "They have offered to continue to support their organizations, regardless of their official role," said a spokesman for the two. "We can all lead a life of service. Service is universal."
