Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan: Insider warns of self-destruction

Prince Harry “destroys himself” with all the intimate interviews about the royal family and only Duchess Meghan can “stop” him now, says the former confidante of Princess Diana in an interview.

Prince Harry, 36, and Duchess Meghan, 39, have maneuvered themselves into a corner with their TV interviews and too much open criticism of the royal family. At least that’s what Paul Burrell, 62, the former butler of Princess Diana, † 36, said in an interview with Closer Magazine. He’s tired of watching Prince Harry throw the royals under the bus and believes Harry doesn’t even see the long-term damage he’s doing to himself.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan: They’re talking about head and neck

First the controversial TV interview with Oprah Winfrey, 67, then the explosive podcast interview with Dax Shepard, 46, and now Harry’s therapy revelations in the AppleTV series. While Harry continues to wash his dirty laundry in front of the world, Burrell – who has known Harry since he was three years old – asks when the royal dropout will finally stop doing it. The former close confidante of Lady Diana is convinced that the interviews will not help Harry repair his broken relationship with the Royals, but only make things worse.

Blinded by Meghan’s beauty and the Hollywood world?

Paul Burrell is convinced: “Prince Harry is so blinded by Meghan’s beauty and this Hollywood world that he cannot see the damage he has already done.” On the other hand, Meghan’s influence on Harry is said to be so great that only she can save him now. “I think now only Meghan can stop him from doing more interviews, causing further damage and self-destruction,” said Burrell. “He won’t heal if he continues like this – it will only make things worse in the long run.”

“Diana would be proud of Harry’s outburst, but upset about the break with the family”

In the new Apple series, Harry also discussed the loss of his mother at the age of just twelve and the impact Diana’s early accidental death had on his growing up. Burrell believes Diana would be proud of Harry’s outburst, but upset about the argument with the royals. “Diana would not only be devastated that Harry was cut off from his family, but she would also disapprove of him tearing down the royals with words.” Harry should finally concentrate on his hard-won private life and the growing family, says the former confidante of Lady Diana.
