Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will be parents again. The bets on baby names are already running and those names are very popular …

On Valentine's Day, Prince Harry (36) and Duchess Meghan (39) announced that they were expecting their second child – and a bet is made on the name of Archie's (1) sibling. The names Alfie and Alexandra are, according to "Mirror", the front runners at the British bookmaker "Ladbrokes". Royal fans apparently assume that the name of child number two of the Sussexes will begin with an A like that of their firstborn.

"Congratulations to Harry and Meghan on the pregnancy news – of course, all attention is now on the name game, and at the moment it is Alfie and Alexandra who are taking the lead in the bets," Ladbrokes' Alex Apati is quoted as saying. Archie was a modern twist on a traditional name, it goes on to say, so it's no surprise that Charles / Charlie are also high up. According to the "Mirror", bookmakers also bet on the names Florence, Freddie or Arabella.

Doria with outsider chances

Names that people also bet on are Elizabeth and Philip – the names of Harry's grandparents, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. Also under discussion is Diana, the name of Harry's late mother, and Oliver. A Betfair spokesperson told the Daily Mail: "After choosing Archie – a name that wasn't even on our list for their first child – people are betting that Meghan and Prince Harry will opt for a more traditional one Names for their second child. " Oliver and Diana are therefore far ahead here.

Royale names on the list include Arthur and Grace, as well as Philip, Albert, George and Isabella. Doria, the name of Meghan's mother, are also given outsider opportunities. The new member of the royal family will grow up far away from Great Britain: The Sussexes live in Montecito, California, after resigning as high-ranking royals last spring.
