Recently Harry and Meghan launched a fundraising appeal. Now more than three million US dollars have been raised for vaccinations.

Prince Harry (36) and Duchess Meghan (39) used the birthday of their son Archie (2) on May 6th to collect donations to enable people all over the world to get vaccinated against the corona virus to let. Via their Archewell Foundation you can now announcethat in the past few days, together with supporters such as the Seadream Family Foundation and the Mastercard Impact Fund, more than three million US dollars have been raised for this purpose. Harry and Meghan thank all donors for their help in “making the world a more compassionate and just place”.

Center planned in Mumbai

The couple also used the anniversary of their wedding, May 19, to announce a new project in India, which has been badly affected by the corona virus. Together with the non-profit organization World Central Kitchen Archewell plans to build a relief center in Mumbai. It is the third of four such centers to be built in regions disproportionately affected by disasters.

The first center has already been completed in Dominica, the second is currently being built in Puerto Rico. During crises, the centers can be used as vaccination centers or kitchens – in quieter times, for example, as schools, clinics or as meeting places for families.
