Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan
This is how fans react to their first podcast episode
Harry and Meghan let their "famous and rich" friends have their say in their first podcast episode. Not everyone liked that.
The new podcast from Duchess Meghan (39) and Prince Harry (36) was not only received with joy. In the first episode, the couple let famous friends like Elton John (73, "Diamonds") and James Corden (42) have their say, who explained how they experienced the Corona year 2020.
Or maybe it was insertions from Meghan and Harry like this one that some listeners found too flat: "Connection was of decisive importance for all of us this year, however we found it. Sometimes standing at a distance, sometimes only through a screen . " Or statements like: "Love always wins."
Some of the fans found the podcast too "preaching" and "boring" – one Twitter user even asked for a "puke bucket". Another commented a little more factually: "2020 has been difficult. I'm not sure we need a podcast from Harry and Meghan on the trouble of the rich and famous." On the other hand, there were also numerous fans who saw the episode as "heartwarming", "touching" or a "pleasure". Other listeners noted on Twitter how happy Meghan and Harry seem.
Everyone loves Archie
However, there was agreement on the subject of the cameo of Archie, the son of Meghan and Harry. The cheerful one-year-old, together with mom and dad, wished the audience a "Happy New Year". His voice was so "sweet and magical", the users said happily.
Meghan and Harry started their podcast to give people "a little warmth, a smile and something to think about". The famous couple seems to have succeeded in this. For most fans, however, there was probably no more in-depth knowledge.
