The director of the “Archewell” foundation of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan has given up her job – after less than a year.

Prince Harry (36) and Duchess Meghan (39) supposedly have to say goodbye to an important employee. Catherine St-Laurent was hired as director for the Sussexes’ Archewell Foundation just last April. She previously worked at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. What is behind the departure of “Archewell” after only one year? According to insiders, according to “The Telegraph”that Catherine St-Laurent had to fulfill “a great many tasks” for the couple, including those that were allegedly not contractually agreed.

A source told The Telegraph: “I think there was a feeling that she had a great many roles to play for the couple – not all of them were necessarily included in her job description.” An insider appeared to the “Daily Mail” also surprised by the quick departure of Catherine St-Laurent, whose signing last year was seen as a great success for the Sussexes. Allegedly, she will continue to be active in an advisory capacity for “Archewell” in the future.

Bullying allegations against Meghan

Even when Meghan and Harry were still working royals in the service of the British royal family, headlines were made about how quickly close employees allegedly quit their job with the famous couple. In addition, Buckingham Palace is said to have recently hired an outside law firm to investigate allegations of bullying by some palace employees against Duchess Meghan.

A senior palace advisor had previously accused Meghan of “unacceptable behavior” towards two personal assistants and of undermining the trust of a third, according to The Times, which led to the investigation. Harry and Meghan’s office has firmly denied the allegations: “The Duchess is saddened by this recent attack on her character,” said a spokesman. Above all, the fact that she herself was the target of bullying obliges her to “support those who have experienced pain and trauma”.
