Prince Harry and Meghan: That's why "Archewell" won't come until 2021

Prince Harry (35) and his wife Meghan (38) have reportedly postponed the start of their nonprofit organization "Archewell". The couple, who moved to California in the spring, apparently initially want to focus their charitable work on the effects of the Corona crisis and support the "Black Lives Matter" movement.

The original plan was, according to media reports, to set up "Archewell" from Los Angeles in the spring after the organization's name was officially registered in the United States. According to "The Telegraph" it is derived from the Greek word for "source of action" – like the name of her son Archie (1). As the newspaper now reports, it is unlikely that the organization will start in 2020. Harry and Meghan wanted to react to the current situation and get involved in "Black Lives Matter" among other things.

You want to do it right

"What is absolutely clear is that they want to do it right and there is no point in rushing it," an insider is quoted as saying on Archewell. "They are starting a new life, a new phase. This is about doing everything right and making sure that they can make the difference that they want to make."

In April it was announced that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, who are no longer serving the British royal family, are working on plans for a new non-profit organization. According to the documents previously submitted in the United States, the couple plans to group their own charity and volunteer work, self-help groups and a multimedia education empire with films, podcasts and books under one roof: "Archewell".
